Time to get the Christmas tree! Our neighbors have a Christmas tree farm a couple hours west of us. They graciously invited us to come up to their farm and pick out a tree! What a wonderful day we had! It was a gorgeous day, and a lot of fun to see how the trees are grown and cut.

Just the beautiful
scenery was worth
the drive. What a
gorgeous scene.
Get on the trailer for the
ride up the mountain to
where we will find our
tree.
Cutting it down.
And baling it up to bring home.

Carry it to the trailer to bring back down the mountain.

Tree Huggers.
There was a beautiful little stream.
They said there were often
crawdads to be found this time of
year, so we turned over rocks
looking for them, but they were
wise to us and we didn't find any
this time.
11-29-09 UPDATE:
It's been a couple weeks since I have updated, and a lot has been going on.
Silas is doing so well since his back surgery. That first week, I would have had a hard time
believing he would be doing so well now. He is back to most of his regular activities, and he
looks so straight and tall now.
Jordan has a new car! Our friend from church went way above and beyond what we asked
and helped her to get a great deal on a wonderful car. We are so thankful. Things are a lot
easier around here now that she can drive herself around.
Maggie lost her first tooth, which was pretty exciting. Eden and Silas are pretty jealous and
wiggling their teeth as hard as they can. I'm sure the Tooth Fairy will be getting quite a bit of
business in the coming months.
Hannah was in the local Christmas parade, representing her Tae Kwon Do school. We all
went out to the parade and had a great time.
Thanksgiving Day is over for another year. My brother came up to visit with his family, and we
had a nice relaxing day with lots of great food. Now to work it all off!
Art is still waiting on the work for Motorola to begin. In the meantime, our neighbor generously
offered him some work out at their Christmas tree farm! It was hard work, but interesting too.
It reminded us a lot of when we were first married, and he worked long, hard days and came
home tired and dirty. We are thankful for the opportunity to work, and are hoping that Art will
be at Motorola within the next week. It is not fun being out of work, but it is especially
challenging this time of year. Praying work comes soon...
We also have some great pictures of our day up at the Christmas tree farm, and our beautiful
Christmas tree we were able to bring home! The day was cool and clear and gorgeous and
Mr. Homer and Mrs. Cindy came with us. We all had a wonderful time. There are no photos
yet of decorating the tree because as of tonight, it is standing bare in our living room.
Tomorrow we will decorate the tree and the house, inside and out. Will try to post more
pictures after that.
Trying to think if I have missed anything. It is late, and I want to set these pictures uploading
through the night, so I will leave it at that. I have updated much of the website, but am hoping
to update the individual pages sometime in the next week or two. Check back for more!
