After leaving Grandpa and Grandma's house in Orlando, we drove over to
visit our good friend Cindy in Merritt Island. We met Cindy on our trip to
meet Silas, and she was meeting her Sam. And she traveled with us again
the next year when we got Eden and she got Anna. Above is Maggie,
Jessie, Anna, and Eden, Silas, Sam, and Isaac.
They had a very nice pool
and here Isaac really
progressed in his
swimming.
Next stop, West Palm
Beach. We had dinner at
the Hadleys!
And truly one of the most pretty
beaches, Lake Worth Beach. We had
a lovely time. The temperature was
perfect, the waves calm, and we saw
fish in the water, little gray fish about a
foot long, and schools of tiny green
fish that swam around our legs.
Collecting shells
in the water.
The first day we went to the beach, I
forgot the camera. The next day I
remembered the camera, but the
batteries ran out! I only got one
picture of our sand castle before the
camera died. We made drip castles.
This was cute. At the hotel we looked over and Isaac was "reading" Lord of the Rings.

And look!! It's WIDSAR!!! It was so good to see our next door neighbor again! Our big kids grew up with Widsar and her nephews. The first time I saw Widsar she was eight years old and wearing a little checkered red dress. Now she is a school teacher! We are so proud. She looked great and we had a wonderful time catching up.

And some
people have a
hard time
waking up in
the morning.
Although Canaan
graduated from high
school in December, our
church had a graduation
"ceremony" this past week
and Canaan walked with
the other graduates.
The Tooth Fairy has been
busy, and ought to just
camp out here for a while
by the looks of all the
wiggly teeth in this house.
Silas lost his first front
tooth this week.
My good friend warned me about
the adoption blues: every time you
are in the process of an adoption,
everything seems to break down.
First our dishwasher, and then we
noticed a leak in our ceiling and
found that there was water
damage in the bathroom above.
Thankfully, Art knew how to tear up
the floor and repair it. Now our air
conditioner downstairs isn't
working, but we'll work on that next.
On a happier
note, look at my
lovely garden!
