Hannah's test for
her black stripe belt.

Kicking a board.
Jordan took this picture because
she thought it was funny.  These
are Jordan and Hannah's purses
hanging in the front hall.  Jordan's
is a pretty purse we bought in
China for her, and Hannah's is a
military bag bought at an antique
shop our west.  See her
nunchucks sticking out of the bag?

Isaac's dedication.
This is our pastor.  We absolutely love him.
03-15-09 Update:

Our snow day was fun while it lasted, but just a few days later it was in the high seventies and we were enjoying full blown
spring time weather!  We are all ready for spring here.  Mr. Homer got out his motorcycle and the little ones all got a ride, which
they loved.

Today was a busy day at church.  Isaac was dedicated today.  For those who aren't familiar with that, in our church we don't
baptize or christen our babies, we dedicate them, which just means that we are promising before our church that we will raise
them up in our Faith, and that it will be up to them when they are old enough to understand to choose to follow God and be a
Christian.  It is then that they are baptized.  Anyway, all our other six children have been dedicated in much smaller churches,
and the ceremonies have been very personal, usually with just one being dedicated.  This is our first time to take part in a
large church dedication.  There were eleven children dedicated today, mostly babies.  It was a nice ceremony.

In the dedications of our other adopted children, we incorporated in the ceremony the showing of a slideshow of their adoption
and the time since they came home.  We couldn't do that this time, but I did get Isaac's slideshow done, and you can click on
the link to see it.

Also, today the kindergarten choir sang in church today.  Silas has a very bad cough, and ended up not being able to
participate, but Maggie sung her heart out and we were SO proud of her.  She stood up straight and tall and sang perfectly like
a little angel.  It was so sweet.

I also added a few pictures of Hannah getting her black stripe belt in Tae Kwon Do.  She only has one more level until she can
test for black belt.  She is also trying out for the demonstration team, and continues to teach the younger classes.

There continues to be a lot of sickness hanging out around the Baker house lately, and we are eager for us to all be healthy
again, and spring to come.  We keep praying for health, and for work for Art.  We are hoping for good news this week.
I came across Maggie reading books
to Eden by the front window.  It was
really cute.
My little sunbather.  Eden
is soaking up the spring
sunshine on the back
porch.
Here is Maggie doing Tae
Kwon Do.  Hannah has
been teaching her at home,
and she has been learning
very well.  For Maggie's
birthday, Hannah had
bought her a Tae Kwon Do
uniform.  Hannah helps
teach the children's classes
at her Tae Kwon Do dojo,
and she asked if Maggie
could come in at the end of
classes one day and do her
white belt test for the
Master.  He graciously
agreed, and it was very
cute.  She is not actually a
student there, and it was
nice of him to let her do
that.  She did a great job,
and broke her first real
board.   I wish she really
could enroll.  Maybe
someday.
Here the kids are playing in the
backyard very Peep-ish.  If you watch
Peep, they have shorts in between with
kids in the backyard doing nature and
science experiments, and I love these
bits.  I love seeing the kids out in the
yard trying new things, digging for
worms and catching bugs,
experimenting with rocks and water
and things they find, and exploring all
over.  Art is digging a drainage trench
in the back yard, and has not put the
pipe in yet, so it has been an open
ditch for a few days now, and they've
been having a blast with it.
