The view below was what greeted us when we awoke Monday morning.

They were able to snowboard
just a little down the back yard
slope. Here Jordan is helping
Silas get hooked up.
How heartwarming to see all the
kids, big and little, making a
snowman together!
Isaac helping Mr. Homer make
a snowman for his yard.
Those snowballs are heavier than they look!
Jordan made the little
snowman reaching up to the
big Daddy snowman, "Pick
me up, it's cold!"
Canaan's
creation, a la
Calvin and
Hobbes
More Calvin and Hobbes. Hard to see,
but the expression is great.
Jordan made a little kitty cat and
Hannah made a tiger.
Jordan's happy
snowlady on a bench.
Rosy cheeks, back inside, fun was had by all.
03-03-09 Update:
I had changed the theme to St. Patrick's Day green, but yesterday we were blessed with a beautiful SNOW DAY, so I changed
things again. This is the most snow we have had since we moved here two and a half years ago. The weatherman has
promised snow many times before, but this time he finally came through. It snowed all night and in the morning we had a
glorious, sparkly white blanket over everything. Of course the whole town shut down and didn't know what to do, but the
Bakers knew what to do -- get out and PLAY! It was awesome to watch all seven kids thoroughly enjoying the snow,
snowboarding, sledding, making snow angels, and making all sorts of snow creations. Since we moved here the few times it
has snowed, it melted before the day was over, and although it is melting, we still have plenty to play with today, and schools
and businesses have opened back up again. It was a lot of fun. Thank God for a fun day of playing in the snow!
Please check out the March 2009 page to see more photos from our snow day.
Jordan bought her tickets to Italy this week, and will be there the first of June. She is very excited, and somewhat
apprehensive. When she finally purchased the tickets, it was suddenly very real, and I felt like throwing up, but I know it will be
a good experience for her. We all have prayed about this, and God has opened the doors, so we'll keep walking.
Please continue to pray for Art as he tries to get work, and for the many health problems in our family right now.
