I LOVE this stuff. These are the times
where homeschooling and our whole
lifestyle just shines. Here is a typical
afternoon where Canaan took the little
ones out back to play soccer. Canaan is
awesome at this sort of thing. He
doesn't just play with them, he teaches
them, and he's not that easy on them
either; he makes them do it right, and
doesn't cut them slack just because
they're cute (like I do). And he gets right
in there playing with them too. And he
does these things without being asked.
He just seems to really enjoy the kids
and playing with them and making up
games and ideas, and I just really enjoy
watching them all, and the expressions
on their faces. What lucky, lucky little
ones I have. Who wouldn't love to grow
up with a big brother who cared so
much about them? I always say the best
thing I ever gave my kids is each other.
I LOVE this stuff!
Amazingly, Hannah is now 19.
Since we had just had Maggie's
huge birthday cake a week before,
Hannah opted for strawberry
shortcake with real whipped
cream, and a few chocolate dipped
strawberries on the side.
mmmmmm....
Cracklin Oat Bran from Isaac.
Hannah is such an interesting and
unique girl. Check out the
presents she got, and think if you
know any other 19 year old who
would be so delighted with such
things!
A Jackie Chan
movie from
Brudoscotch.
Check out these
shirts Jordan made!
They are so cool.
She made them by
adhering a freezer
paper stencil that
she made and cut
out, and then
spraying bleach on
them. They are
really cool. One is
the Ninja Warrior
logo, and the other
is Bruce Lee.
And encyclopedia of martial arts!! Yay!!!

Reading her martial arts encyclopedia with Canaan by the fireside.
Look at the difference a day
makes! On this day, it was so
lovely out we had a picnic out
back, but only ONE day later....
We are getting a lot of snow this winter, and the kids
are really enjoying it. It is fun to a point, but the
novelty is wearing off a bit as far as I'm concerned...
