Isaac is the youngest in the family, and is four years old, three
months younger than Eden. He joined our family in May of
2008. Although he was listed as a special needs child, after
several tests, it turns out that he does not have any of the
conditions we were told he had after all. We are thankful that
he is a happy, active, bright, and healthy little boy. One of the
conditions he was listed as having was epilepsy, and his MRI
does show that he likely had a stroke in-utero, but so far he
has had no seizures, and our neurologist feels he likely will
not have any. He is off all medicaitons and doing well.
Isaac has amazed us by how quickly he has learned English.
In the first few weeks, it seemed like he would not ever learn
the first word, but four months later we are astonished at his
progress. He gets along well with the other kids in the family,
and they all have adjusted well with each other.
Isaac has been home seven months as of this writing, and he
has adjusted well to living in a family. He has developed
strong relationship with each of his siblings, and it is fun to
watch him interact differently with each one. He seems to
have been a favored little boy in China, but has learned that
this is not how a family works. He is an easy going little
fellow, and we look forwared to seeing his personality
emerge more and more in the months to come.
