Looks like this one
just had a nice meal
of something.
That's right, let's get it
to bite us...
While I was taking

his tail out and

"What is this Hannah?"

"Well, Canaan told me to draw an iron clad unicorn riding a psychic tandem
war elephant chasing after Elmo.  So I did."

um...  okay.
July 16, 2011 UPDATE

These beautiful summer days continue.  We spend much time in the garden and in the pool.
We have been enjoying having Daddy home for a few weeks.  Everything is so much nicer
when he is here.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary this past week.  We had a little "getaway" for 17 hours.
It was really very nice, and I want to do it again!  But it's probably a good thing we are in no
position to whisk off to Paris or Ireland because I was missing my kids by midnight!  I don't
think I could spend longer than that away from them unless I was adopted another child, or
staying with a child in surgery.  We had a very nice time though, starting with dinner at a
real restaurant where someone comes to ask you what you want to eat and brings it back to
you and you don't have to empty your tray on the way out!  We also went to a movie and out
for ice cream.  Art had reserved a hotel room and when I walked in he had already put
flowers in the room, and a card.  And we watched Food Network half the night and ate
candy bars, which just goes to show how old we really are.  It was great!  We slept in the
next morning which was a luxurious treat, and then went for some Krispy Kremes to bring
home to the kids.  All in all, a whole lot of treats we don't get very often, and I will be smiling
at the memories of it for some time.   We thanked God for helping us find each other over
26 years ago, and for all the adventures He has brought us through, and asked His blessing
on the next 25 years.    I think I got the better end of the deal, but not a day goes by that I
am not thankful for my hard-working, big-hearted, funny, handsome, God-fearing, amazing
husband.

Silas's surgery was postponed until August 12th.  A little more time for the IRS to send us
OUR money.  Please keep this in your prayers.  Eden can be scheduled for her surgery any
time now as well as she has finally conquered her thumb "sucking" habit.  Somehow, every
time I think about it, I find a reason to put off calling her surgeon though.  She is old
enough now that she really understands and wants to have her mouth fixed.  But I know
what this surgery will entail, and I see my sweet, happy, bouncy girl, and it is just so hard.

So, I have had many more "musings" but not the time to collect any of them lately.  I do not
want to wait to post pictures, so my thoughts will have to wait until next time.
