April, and time to work on the garden!  We increased the
size of the garden to about three times the size, and we
went to get four truck loads of compost for the garden.
(Thank you Mr. Homer for the use of the Big Rig!)
And the kids had fun finding
worms in the compost.
We rented a tiller to
break up the ground,
and each of the kids
got a turn at it.
And the days keep getting
warmer and more beautiful.  All
the kids love to swing, and
nobody needs a push anymore.
It was hot enough to
fill up the wading
pools and splash
around for the
afternoon.
With water guns of
course...
The Spring Sunglasses
Photo Shoot

While the kids were playing in the water, Hannah decided to do one of her
photo shoots she does with them every now and then.  She let them all pose
with her sunglasses on, which they loved.  She got some really great pictures.
And what beautiful, beautiful babies I have.  Here are a few of my favorites:
Mr. Homer and Mrs. Cindy hooked the kids up with lots of Easter treats and
some new kites!  What fun!  They had a blast.
And a few photos from Easter
morning....
April 4, 2010 Update:

It has been almost a month since I have updated!  Oh my...  well, I have made up for it with a whole lot of
photos added.  First, check out the March 2010 page where there are some more pictures of spring time
coming to North Carolina.   The days have slowly gotten warmer, and finally hot.  The kids have been
playing outside every day, swinging, jumping on the trampoline, splashing in the water, catching crickets,
roasting marshmallows, flying kites, and soaking up the sunshine.  We have been working hard on the
garden, expanding and planting, and little plants have already started to come up.

Just one week ago we had a windy and stormy night with tornado watches about.   Little did we know at the
time that several tornadoes touched down only a couple of miles from our house.  The damage was
substantial, and it is stunning and sobering to ride through the areas that were hit.  We feel for those who
have lost so much, and we are thankful that our home was not affected.   Makes you think....

Easter weekend was warm and beautiful, and all went by too quickly.  The eggs have all been found, and
the good Easter clothes all put away.  Upstairs children sleep with bellies full of candy, and sun-kissed
skin, toasty and brown.  We are thankful as we reflect on the holiday, and remember the price that was
paid for us, and our hearts rejoice that He is risen, risen indeed!
